University of California Santa Cruz – B.S. in Neuroscience
About Ben
Ben Fletcher grew up under the traffic of Los Angeles’ LAX airport, before moving to Santa Cruz, CA to pursue a bachelors in Neuroscience from the University of California Santa Cruz. There, he experienced In-home Caregiving as his first job, while pursuing a number of other extracurriculars (a favorite of which was Model United Nations). After graduating, Ben moved to the Upper Valley to join his family that had moved from California a few years prior.
Upon arriving in the neighborhood, Ben took up volunteering at High Horses Therapeutic Riding Program and at the Vermont Institute of Natural Science, eventually becoming project biologist for the annual Eastern Whip-poor-will Survey (and founder of an amphibian volunteer group that’s still growing throughout the Upper Valley!). He also got really into guitar recently and now wants to run off and be Neil Young. Ben is excited to return to human services to support the Mountain Valley community as a residential counselor.
