About Brittany
Brittany joined Mountain Valley in 2020 from an outpatient therapy clinic serving children and adolescents in Charleston, SC. Prior to that she spent many years as an adolescent therapist in an intensive outpatient program in Wisconsin and an Emergency Room/Trauma Center social worker in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Brittany is a graduate of Appalachian State University with a Bachelor of Music Therapy and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Master of Social Work. She enjoyed her years as a music therapist, working with children, teens, and adults and was thrilled at the opportunity to augment her work by becoming a licensed clinical social worker. She completed internships at Duke University Hospital and has a strong background in medical social work.
She is intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and has experience providing Exposure and Response Prevention, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Brittany is skilled with individual, group, and family therapy.
