Gabriela has always been interested in working and helping people of all ages, backgrounds and walks of life. In 2012, back in Europe she received a BA degree in the Human Services field. She has worked with children and adults in different ways ever since then. Some of Gabriela’s roles have included teaching, caregiving, service coordination, case management, and more. Gabriela has found her interest and life mission to be doing her part in helping children and people with disabilities in a personal and professional aspect. Other than applying her current knowledge and experience into her work, Gabriela intends to further expand her education and capabilities in the Disability world. She is a strong advocate for Autism Acceptance, Justice and Awareness. Her motto is: “Speak up for the voiceless, defend the defenseless”.
Gabriela is grateful to be a part of the Mountain Valley Treatment Center team. She thinks that being surrounded by so many empathetic, caring people dedicated to the mission of helping our struggling youth brings great meaning, enrichment, and something new to learn and grow from every day.
Gabriela finds meaning, strength, love and hope in God, family, and children. She also believes that we are all here on a mission. Gabriela supports the thinking that turning our life stories and our own struggles and difficulties into tools to become our best version and to help others is key. She believes that life is a constant dance of good and bad, pain and joy and everything in between. As soon as we accept that, we can become better dancers while helping others learn to dance with the steps and the moves that we have already mastered. Gabriela has found her life mission to be helping others in different ways. Gabriela loves music, singing, dancing, art and deep conversations.
