About J.E.
J.E. was born and raised in New Hampshire, and traveled to Virginia for both his undergraduate and graduate degrees. After spending several years touring as a stage actor, he settled in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia working as a theatrical director, historical interpreter and blacksmith, before moving to eastern Virginia where he worked as a supervisor for the Actor Interpreter Department at Colonial Williamsburg. After attending Wake Forest University’s online program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling as a means of improving his skills in middle management, he became inspired by mental health work and decided to return to New Hampshire, and transfer to Southern New Hampshire University’s Master’s in Clinical Mental Health program. His decision to apply to be a part of MVTC was to work directly with professionals and residents in the field, and learn from the vast knowledge of the community.
When not engaged at Mountain Valley Treatment Center, J.E. can be found on walks and hikes with his husky, Winter, or looking for new books to enjoy.
