Jay supports Carl Lovejoy and his leadership team in areas such as strategic planning and ensuring the appropriate stewardship of the shared land and experiential education resources between Mountain Valley and the non-profit, Upper Valley Stewardship Center (www.uvstewardship.org). Jay is the conduit between Mountain Valley Treatment Center and the Business Office and related services that Mountain Valley uses within the larger Becket Family of Services organization.
Jay’s roots run deep in the Oliverian Valley of New Hampshire. Jay’s father, John Wolter, Ed. D., began operating experiential educational programming in this area for troubled youth in the late 1960’s from the Becket Academy (now Franklin Academy) in Connecticut and eventually started the Pike School in Haverhill, NH (later to become The Oliverian School). Jay and his family are committed to stewardship of our natural resources and developing and supporting quality educational and treatment programs that serve adolescents in need.
A graduate of Fairfield University and Georgetown University Law Center, Jay lives in Hanover, NH with his wife, Colleen, and their four sons, Shane, Christian, Ryan and Brendan.
