Julia Shalov

Julia graduated from Hofstra University with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and plans on attending graduate school for neuropsychiatric research. As an undergraduate she assisted in several research projects studying the effectiveness of Motivational Interviewing and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for individuals with emotional pain. She is also an experienced leader and was President of the Hofstra Neuroscience Club and Vice President of the Hofstra Biology Honors Society. Julia has experience working with adolescents as an academic tutor and mentor and enjoys working as a team to help others. She also loves spending time with animals and playing her ukulele!
