Lorian has worked with children and youth since 2005, earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Child Study, with a concentration in Visual Arts from St. Joseph’s College, NY. She taught Special Education in the NY public education system, she also taught art in both NY and Florida. Lorian’s passion for the arts led her to get her Master’s Degree in Arts in Education in 2012, from Stony Brook University, NY.
As both an advocate for the de-stigmatization of mental illness, and a mother of two special needs children, Lorian works to support and encourage young people; fostering a community of empathy, radical acceptance, collaboration, and pride. Lorian’s education and lived experience, her passion for artistic expression, and her own journey living with anxiety are also vital to her role as a residential counselor.
