Alison earned her doctorate in counseling psychology from the University of Kansas. She completed her internship at the University of Utah Counseling Center and her post-doctoral hours at Huntsman Mental Health Institute (formerly University of Utah Neuropsychiatric Institute). Alison completed her Master of Arts in Counseling at Marquette University and her Bachelor of Arts in psychology at Truman State University. Alison has worked in community mental health, college counseling, Veteran’s Administration, and private practice. She is a former professor in the Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Westminster University. Alison has a decade of experience completing comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological evaluations with adolescents and young adults.
Alison joined Mountain Valley as Clinical Director in 2024. She appreciates Mountain Valley’s ability to help residents take committed action in accordance with their values. Alison is happy to work alongside an excellent team of clinicians and staff to further the development of the clinical program at MVTC.
Alison enjoys spending time with her wife and son. In their free time, you can find Alison and her family camping, stand-up paddleboarding, biking, and hiking. She loves to travel, particularly to experience new cultures, foods, and natural beauty.
