Our Therapeutic Recreation Provides Residents with New Challenges that Positively Impact Self-Esteem
Through our various therapeutic recreation programs , we facilitate purposeful recreation-based modules in order to develop and refine skills needed to live a healthy and independent life.
Our modules are designed following a 6-week long T.R.A.C.K.S. program. The acronym T.R.A.C.K.S., stands for Trust, Resilience, Acceptance, Courage, Knowledge, and Service. During these programs, residents will be gaining a wide range of experiences from going on adventures into the White Mountains and Green Mountains to creating and interpreting art on campus and during visits to New England museums to practicing mindfulness and yoga techniques and so much more.
All of our programs have been faithfully adapted for social distancing and medical precautions in the wake of COVID-19.
All our programming at Mountain Valley has therapeutic intent and purpose and is planned based off residents’ leisure interest!
