Mountain Valley Treatment Center is excited to partner with Academics West to offer a workshop (1.5 CEs) on the key concerns we are facing as we return to our new normal this fall. This will be a zoom workshop, open to all, on Tuesday April 20, 2021 at 7:00pm.

After almost two years of interrupted and on-line schooling, our young people will be returning to in-person learning and a sense of normalcy this September. How do we, as professionals and parents, help support our children as they re-enter this new world? All data suggests that there has been a rise in anxiety, isolation, and other mental health issues throughout the pandemic, what are some skills and strategies we can start utilizing now to ameliorate these concerns.

Dr. Tim DiGiacomo, PsyD, Clinical Director of MVTC and Dr. Evan Flamenbaum, MA, DSW, Head of School at Academics West, will be sharing their thoughts on the educational and clinical concerns as we move towards the fall. They will share Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Executive Functioning techniques and strategies that might assist in this difficult transition.
