About Ashley
Ashley joined the residential team at Mountain Valley in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Worcester State University. Ashley’s passion for helping others grew exponentially and she quickly decided to pursue her master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling at New England College. After one year working as Program Director, Ashley made the decision to resume working towards her ultimate goal as a licensed clinical mental health counselor. As a clinician, Ashley embodies her values of resiliency, authenticity, and acceptance as she fosters meaningful relationships with adolescent youth and promotes their engagement in living a rich and meaningful life.
Ashley initially viewed Mountain Valley as a steppingstone in her career; an opportunity to gain experience and best inform her long-term goals. Upon integrating into the community, she quickly realized that Mountain Valley offered much more than professional development. As a member of the team for several years, Ashley has remained dedicated and loyal to Mountain Valley because of the magic she has witnessed in the milieu. Ashley believes that the impressive change, growth, and progress a resident experiences occurs within the strong, supportive community. It provides incredible opportunities to implement changes necessary to living a meaningful life. There is no other opportunity quite like the one Mountain Valley presents, and Ashley is proud to be a part of the magic that happens in the milieu.
Originally from the Berkshires in Massachusetts, Ashley now lives in New Hampshire with her husband, cat, and dog. She loves to spend her free time enjoying a live music show or the outdoors, especially camping, kayaking, hiking, and fishing with her Australian Cattle Dog, Isaac. Ashley also loves to travel and will never miss an opportunity to explore a new location or fly across the country to visit her adorable one-year-old nephew.
