Psychiatric and Medical Services
Medication Management and Psychiatric Services
As a treatment center dedicated to providing evidence-based care, Mountain Valley recognizes that medication and psychiatry can play an important role in conjunction with cognitive behavioral therapy in the treatment of OCD and anxiety. Residents who need to access psychiatric care and medication management can meet with our on-site psychiatrist, Dr. Michael “Misiu” Przydzielski, as needed and at no additional cost. Dr. Przydzielski builds a relationship with our residents and their families as we work towards supporting their treatment.
Our on-site medical team consists of psychiatrist, Dr. Michael “Misiu” Przydzielski; nurse, Chelsea McHugh, RN; health services coordinator, Mary Smith; and medical interns from Dartmouth Medical School. This group of medical professionals is an integrated part of our interdisciplinary treatment team which consists of psychotherapists, occupational therapists, academic tutors, recreational therapists, and milieu (residential) counselors. As part of this team, our medical staff ensures that our treatment approach honors the psychiatric, medication, dietary, and general health requirements of each resident. Our medical team meets with residents as needed at no extra charge to monitor and manage medication and other health-related needs.
In addition to our on-site team, Mountain Valley has convenient access to some of the best psychiatric and medical services in the country through Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, located just minutes away.
