Supporting Mountain Valley – Please Consider a Gift Today!
Last Thursday afternoon, as part of an Exposure Therapy assignment, I took one of our anxious, social avoidant teens, unannounced, into the Hanover office of a not for profit that help youth make change using the power of athletics. The executive director greeted us warmly and explained the mission of her program to our MVTC resident. The resident then took a deep breath and eloquently, and quite confidently, told the executive director about Mountain Valley and the challenges that she has faced over the years that brought her to a residential treatment center in New Hampshire. My resident thanked the executive director and exited the office with a huge smile on her face, ready to face her next exposure assignment.
On Monday, Mountain Valley received an extremely generous personal donation from that executive director, with a letter thanking me for bringing the resident in to meet with her and congratulating MVTC for the success we are experiencing working with adolescents suffering from debilitating anxiety, OCD and depression. It is clear that our mission resonates with many!
Unlike most programs of our kind, Mountain Valley is a registered 501 (c)(3). As a non-profit entity, we appreciate, and depend on, the generous tax-deductible support of thoughtful members of the MVTC family for support of those features that make Mountain Valley unique and vital. Saturday, June 30th at midnight marks the end of our 2017-2018 fiscal year – a date that many thoughtful donors choose to make their annual charitable contributions. Should this be the case for you, we would be honored to think that you might consider adding Mountain Valley to your list of charities this year.
Making a gift to MVTC has been made even easier this year, as we have recently added a way for donors to make secure online gifts. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
To those generous members of the MVTC family who have already made a gift this fiscal year, we thank you for your support. For those who have not, we thank you for considering a donation prior to July 1!
